- Prada has worked with Lil Miquela, a computer-generated virtual influencer, to promote its Fall 2018 collection via animated GIFs on Instagram Stories.
- Miquela Souza, also known as Lil Miquela, is a fictitious version of a 19-year-old Los Angeles-based influencer with over 6 Million Instagram followers (currently) whose creators have purposefully remained anonymous.
- This was a very clever marketing move as she was trending due to being an AI 'robot', which is something that most people have never heard of. This shows that Prada is always ahead of their time and are determined to connect with the future of society and fashion.
PRADA X ADIDAS
Miuccia Prada teamed up with Adidas to produce a basic yet luxurious spin on the brand's iconic Superstar sneaker, which was first released in 1969. On September 8, the leather shoes were released in three colours at Prada and Adidas outlets. This is the second chapter of Prada's collaboration with Adidas, which began in late 2019 with the production of an all-white Superstar.
