  • Product 200x
  • Place 200x
  • Price 200x
  • Promotion 200x
Notes
  • Expand recyclable fabrics
  • Gucci Transparency
  • change manufacturer? BIG  AD Campaign?
Product
  • Will the brand change the product to help it to be where it wants to be?
  • New fabrics?
  • Add new product lines
  • Removing product lines
  • Designing to be circular in approach
Place
  • Could brands reduce carbon footprint by manufacturing in multiple locations selling only online or highstreets? pop up stores?
Price
  • Prices may increase because of new fabrics, to reduce mass consumption.
  • Could decrease to encourage less shipping? aka encouraging people to buy on  fewer occasions
Promotion
  • How can they promote their brand better?
  • Transparency?
  • Will it use social media? Will it use PR or traditional ways?

What does Stella McCartney have that Prada doesn't?

Prada Pros

  • Giving items another Life - e.g. La Reserve des Arts, an association offering a service of collection, recovery of raw materials and decoration waste from fashion shows, making them available to professionals and students of the cultural sector.
  • 1 Upcycled collection
  • Re-Nylon ECONYL yarn and collection
  • Use of Gabardine Fabric- when untreated with chemicals, wool is 100% biodegradable in a span of 1-5 years based on the techniques adopted to convert it into fiber.
  • 100% Polyamide is VEGAN
  • GUIDELINES ON THE USE OF CHEMICALS IN THE FASHION MANUFACTURING SUPPLY CHAIN - COLLAB 2020
  • Econyl is sustainable
Cons
  • Transparency is low for 2021, 11-20%
  • Use of Gabardine Fabric -Unsustainable, if wool or non-organic cotton is used.
  • Gabardine made from wool is NOT VEGAN. Organic cotton is vegan.
  • Nylon Polyamide may or may not be sustainable. and NOT DEGRADABLE, non-biodegradable as well, so they are inherently unsustainable on two counts. Nylon manufacture creates nitrous oxide, a greenhouse gas 310 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Bad, even if it's recycled.
  • Not 100% vegan, no policy

Stella Pros
  • Uses organic cotton
  • 100% VEGAN, never used animal skins, furs, etc.
  • Evrnu's NuCycle YARN - converts old cotton garments into new high-quality materials.
  • KOBA® - faux fur made from recycled polyester and plant based plastic.
  • COREVA™  plant-based yarn obtained from natural rubber to replace synthetic, petrol-based yarns. Made from organic cotton wrapped around a natural rubber core, the result is a yarn that is completely plastic-free.
  • ROICA elastane - ranging from synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester to natural fibers like wool and cotton. Under the ROICA brand, there are several functional yarn subbrands.

Cons
  • Also uses ECONYL, plastic is still not sustainable.
  • ROICA still uses synthetic fibres, it's plastic.

Current Layout
  • NOTE: This is not the original writing for the report. I chose to put a 300 word paragraph into these to see roughly how the 200 words would fit in these layouts.
  • I chose green as I associate with Nature and the environment, however, the colour scheme can change after a review of it with my tutors.
  • Following the same line method through out the project for consistency.
